The Sea of Cortez...March 13th, 2004 by Michael Fishbach

Limited numbers of blue whales have been sighted this year, but lots of finbacks. There have been some spectacular fish balls totaling millions of fish, with whales, dolphins and sea lions knifing through the balls. Humpbacks have been putting on grand displays of breaching, and tail lobbing.

Michael...'at home'

This year has been a fairly windy one in the afternoons. Large numbers of dolphins are being reported now, and last week we had many pilot whales.

Mantas are just being sighted and today we had a formation of spotted eagle rays swimming under the boat. Some of the sunsets have been spectacular, so has the snorkeling and the two occasions of soaking in the hot springs just minutes after observing the great whales.
